We will guide you through a class specifically designed for the journey of pregnancy, interweaving childbirth education with yoga. Linking yoga postures with the breath will lead you to new discoveries, bringing awareness to the mind, body and spirit, and also with your baby. The postures are conducted in a calm, peaceful environment that will help strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles, improve circulation, aid in digestion, exercise the spine and increase overall comfort. Join in this safe and supportive yoga practice to help alleviate many of the common discomforts of pregnancy such as nausea, constipation, varicose veins, swelling, back pain and sciatica. The ultimate purpose of prenatal yoga is to best serve women in their preparation for labor and motherhood. This class brings together pregnant women of all ages and stages; please consult your physician or midwife before beginning prenatal yoga if you have any questions or concerns.
